Counselors enriching lives at Campfire.

A long tradition of excellence, fantastic activities, and the best-trained counselors are a few of the reasons that Camp Scully is consistently one of the most popular camps in the region. These combine to form what really sets our camp apart: the intentional community we create year after year.

We believe every child has spirit. We create a loving and inclusive community in which every camper can flourish. We do this by focusing on our core values of: Service, Caring, Understanding, Love, Loyalty, Youthfulness.  Through the power of this community, guided by excellent staff, we are committed to increasing campers' levels of independence and self-confidence.

DAY CAMP - 8am to 5:30pm - (extended hours 7:15am to 6pm, +$30)

Our Day Campers learn to cooperate, work together as a team, share responsibilities and have fun. Camp groups are assigned by grade, but there is also time each day for our whole day camp community to be together. Each day includes a nutritious lunch, afternoon snack, fun activities, and time to swim in beautiful Snyder’s Lake. Day campers have the opportunity to see what staying at camp is all about with an optional overnight on certain Thursdays. Experiencing a campfire and camping out with friends is a great first step to getting ready for overnight camp.

Explorer Camp - Pre-K to 2nd Grade $280 per week

For our youngest campers (must turn 5 on or before December 1), this is an outstanding introduction to the world of outdoor day camp. Lunch is provided and campers are supervised with a 1:6 ratio and participate in a wide variety of activities including swim lessons, canoe trips, sports, crafts, cooking and beach party time. Safety is our top priority and in addition to a fun time, we’re building kids who are confident, independent, resilient and who understand that our community is better together.

Challenger Camp - 3rd to 5th Grade $280 per week

Many children love to explore and challenge themselves. We believe in encouraging those natural instincts in a safe and structured environment. Challenger campers do everything Explorers do with the addition of archery, sling shot, fort building and kayaking. The Challenger experience is intentionally based on our values of service, caring, understanding, love, loyalty and youthfulness. Our staff is a big reason your child will want to come back year after year! We select only the most caring and talented young adults to be role models for our campers.

Trailblazer Camp - 6th and 7th Grade $270 per week

A special Day Camp experience designed by and for older campers.  At Camp Scully, we value the opportunity to learn and grow with each and every camper, while providing a variety of activities that give each camper a unique experience every day plus a chance to practice their independence. High ropes and challenge course activities throughout the week; their own special Trailblazer cabin and social recreation room; extra swim time and a movie are the special activities available only to Trailblazers. On Thursdays, all summer long (except week 8), stay until 9:00pm, free of charge. We'll feed the campers dinner and they can enjoy the famous Candlelight Ceremony.  Another perk of being a Trailblazer is the opportunity to stay for the Overnight Experience in Week 7, (the same week as the Teen Overnight Camp), free of charge (a $55 value)!

Legendary Leaders - 8th and 9th Grade - $220 per week

We have updated this Day Camp Leadership Program so it now operates for 6 weeks (Weeks 1 thru 6); odd numbered weeks will focus on communication skills and even numbered weeks will focus on cooperation. This unique program allows teenagers an opportunity to build leadership and group facilitation skills. The program focuses on team building and fosters a deepened sense of responsibility in both the day-to-day interactions and overall camp experience of the campers. Participants will identify personal leadership styles and individual strengths while developing community. Activities will include ropes course (low and high), unique and original youth-designed games and activities, art projects, role play, scavenger hunts, a raft design/build project and so much more.
